Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Central Serengeti

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00 AM. As we make our way to Central Serengeti (about a 6-hour drive), you’ll witness the vast, sweeping plains that give Serengeti its name, which means “endless plains” in the local Maasai language. During the afternoon game drive, keep an eye out for the “Big 5” – elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, and leopards – as well as the graceful impalas and other plains wildlife. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wild beauty, concluding the day with dinner and a relaxing night at your accommodation in the heart of the Serengeti.

As the landscape transforms into hilly terrain, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, from zebras to buffaloes. After arriving in North Serengeti, you might get a chance to visit the Mara River, where the dramatic river crossings of the Great Migration take place. Dinner and overnight will be at your accommodation in North Serengeti.

Day 3: Full Day in North Serengeti

Today is dedicated to exploring North Serengeti. You can start with a relaxed breakfast or embark on an early morning game drive. Between July and October, this region is home to one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles—the Great Migration. TheMara River, filled with crocodiles and strong currents, poses a significant challenge for the thousands of wildebeest and zebras that cross it. If you’re lucky, you’ll witness this life-and-death struggle firsthand. Enjoy your picnic lunch surrounded by the wilderness, and continue your game drives before retiring for the night.
